Rustic French Toast
Clssic breakfast dish made using shlef-stable ingredients.
Ingredients
- 8 slices from Pullman Loaf (video coming soon!)
- 3 eggs or equivalent in reconstituted Ova Easy Egg Crystals
- 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1/2 can evaporated milk (8 ounces)
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided (3 for cooking, 1 for serving)
- Maple syrup
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- In large, wide bowl, mix egg crystals with water (water quantity per instructions on the package), or beat 3 fresh eggs.
- Add sugar, and whisk well to dissolve sugar.
- Add milk and whisk in thoroughly.
- Add pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix well.
- Preheat large skillet over medium heat, and add butter to it.
